Project 1: Carpentry - Ramp Build
Project date: Thursday, September 1, 2026
Project time: 9AM - 3PM
Location: 123 ABC, Roanoke, VA 24017
Volunteer Level Required: All levels, must be at least 13 years of age
Details: Homeowner A is in need of an accessible ramp to improve the safety of their home. Volunteers will work with RA’s volunteer supervisor to construct the ramp on site.
Additional Details: All safety equipment is provided. Lunch is provided.
Project 2: Help build a ramp for a neighbor in need
Project date: Thursday, September 1, 2026
Project time: 9AM - 3PM
Location: 123 ABC, Roanoke, VA 24017
Volunteer Level Required: All levels, must be at least 13 years of age.
Details: Mrs. Smith has lived in her home in the City of Roanoke for 25 years. At 77 years of age, she is no longer able to safely climb the 5 stairs to her front door. Volunteers are needed to help construct an accessible ramp to her front door.
Additional Details: All safety equipment is provided. Lunch is provided.
